first, I lightly wet my watercolor paper on BOTH sides ( this way it won't warp and dries flat). Using a 2 in brush I did a rainbow wash and allowed to dry. Then I place a stencil over the wash, spritzed with water - immediately lifted the stencil and then patted dry with paper towel and allowed to fully dry again. I stamped my saying & images with black pigment ink and embossed with black powder. framed with a black matte and mounted onto the white card base.

LOVE how your BG came out, Linda! What a gorgeous card. And thanks for the tip about wetting both sides. I get so frustrated by my warped watercolor paper.

Beautiful job with this technique, I love the colors in your rainbow!!
I will have to try wetting both sides of the paper, thanks for passing that on, never thought to do this but it makes sense.

Beautiful results with the ghosting. Your rainbow wash in itself looks fabulous and the ghosting then stamping really perceives a lot of dimension! Beautiful card.

What a great saying - I love misty mornings. You did get a much better result than either of mine, well done! I like the bright bands of colour contrasting with the bold wheat stems.

This is totally gorgeous!!!! I love all the pretty bright colors. Your embossed image and sentiment turned out perfect, as did the stencil marks. Some people make this look easy, and you are one of them. Really lovely!!

Your rainbow background is so pretty ... love the bright mix of colours. The ghosting with stencil adds lots of visual texture. And your black stamping and framing add lots of drama and really make the rainbow colours pop. Great card!
