A big congrats to Lyn, the newest Featured Stamper! She has a sweet gallery w/ lots of fun cards & after much browsing, I chose THIS to case. I kept the cute chick, and most of the layout, but I used different images, different papers & different die cuts.
After stamping & die cutting the sweet chick, I die cut a white panel first w/ the largest pierced rectangle die then I used a double stitched square to cut out the opening. I came across a white pegboard die cut from ages ago & thought it looked good behind the opening. A blue stripe paper was added behind it then the chick, greeting, some clouds, the sun & some grass were added to fill in the spring scene. I used a Copic marker to add some darker green streaks to the pale green grass & after die cutting it, I used a smaller pierced rectangle to add the piercing along the bottom & sides of the grass.
Congrats again, Lyn! Thanks so much for looking. Closeups & Copic colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Julie,
What a tweet chick. I love that pegboard die cut that you put behind her. I love the stitching you used throughout the card. Anyone would love to get this card. It's just darling!

I love all the elements you used on this card - the outlined clouds, sun and the sky checkered, your grass and your chick is so adorable!!
