When we were young our Dad would often do some silly endearing little thing, after all he was the only male surrounded by four little girls and Mom. One time he came home with a box of chocolates, they were yummy and rich with crunchy goodness inside, “protein filled” he said, “good for us” too. Turns out they were chocolate covered ants, grasshoppers, and other assorted beetles and bugs. He explained that we were very lucky indeed as they would be considered a luxurious item in impoverished countries where they ate their meals of beetles and bugs without the benefit of chocolate, and often raw. We felt very sad for the poor children, and never complained that we were tricked into eating protein rich chocolates.
Can you see the chocolate ant?

Your dad sounds like quite the character!! I see the one chocolate covered ant. I'm not sure I would be into the chocolate if I knew what it was covering. Like the title of your card.

Ha ha...I absolutely love the monochromatic look of this gorgeous card and your story. Funny...I think your Dad and my Dad were related..but in my case it was chocolate covered grasshoppers!!!!!
