It's my turn to host the Mix-Ability challenge this week, and my challenge is to use the inside of a business envelope on your project. I started with a 4" matboard square, and used gel medium to adhere the envelope paper to the panel. I stamped the peonies then added shading with Inktense and blended with a blender pen. Highlights were added with white acrylic paint. More shading was done with Inktense and a Distress crayon.
The words were stamped with abc stamps - just thinking about how I so want to be at the CHA show this weekend, but made the decision not to go with another priority in mind!

Hi Dina, This is fabulous! Thanks for explaining your process. I'm sure you made the right decision about skipping CHA. We are often right when we follow our instincts!

Dina, this is absolutely beautiful. And yes, trust your heart, though I am sure you will miss CHA. After my parents moved to the country, we always used to go and spend Christmas with them, breaking the practice we established right after we got married of always having Christmas in our own home. One year I was so, so tired and I really just wanted to stay home and enjoy a quiet restful time but DH talked me into going west...and as it turned out, it was my mother's last Christmas, which none of us were expecting. I was listening to my body but DH was listening to his heart.

I love how your envelope insides gave such a nice subtle textured design. Your flowers and alphabet sentiment and shades of blue are so artsy. TFS my friend. Hugs

Dina, this is lovely! Great patterns, image, and colors. I used gel medium too - I so love that stuff. Great inspiration idea - I will never be able to look at a security envelope the same again! Hugz
