For today's inspiration challenge: https://www.instagram.com/p/BOptrQ-g5HP/
My DIL had her appendix removed on Christmas night. This was suppose to be the first Christmas in many years she didn't have to work- she is a nurse. Well this year she was the patient. She's resting comfortably at home and should be back on her feet in a couple of weeks. I made this card to let her know we're thinking of her and sending cheerful posies.
I took a leap of faith and watercolored the flowers after stamping them. As you can see, some colors went a little wild, but that's the beauty of the technique. I'm no longer afraid to attempt watercoloring again and hopefully hone my skills.
The bg paper is wood & lace and added multiple colors of CS, similar to the inspiration. I added the purple lace ribbon on the right side to help balance the overall look.
Thanks for looking and happy new year to all!!

When I first read this I thought what a strange night to have your appendix removed - then it clicked that it's hardly elective surgery LOL. This card is gorgeous Jeannie and I hope your DIL is doing well.
