This is my last week of making Christmas cards, so I chose a holiday theme for this card.
The required rectangular panel was cut as a 2.25" white square, and matted with 2.5" olive green cardstock. Glued to the black panel which was glued to the white card base using Tombow glue.
The star was stamped with Stampin' Up! "Bright & Beautiful" using Versamark, then sprinkled with silver embossing powder and heat embossed. It was then cut out using a smaller star die than the stamped image. It was matted with silver glitter paper and then mounted at an angle using Adhesive Foam Strips.
The "Joy" sentiment was cut from Real Red cardstock using a die from the "Wonderful Wreath" framelits set. It was glued down using Tombow glue.
I kept wanting to add more glitter, but the simplicity of the card would have been ruined had I followed my urges.
This card is relatively easy to make,,, the hardest part was gluing down the "Joy" die cut so that the glue wouldn't squish out from behind the narrow letters.
I might STILL go back and add a glittery embellishment - probably rhinestones to the star. Some urges just can't be ignored :-D
