For Lydia's Salted Background tehcnique. I had made a beautiful panel and then accidentally, long story, got a shadow snowman on it when I was cutting a decorative border. So this is take two...
I love this snowman with his saucepan hat and bucket of stars. When I saw him, I thought straight away of the Mary Poppins chapter when she and Mrs Corrie and her two daughters paste the gold paper stars from gingerbread into the sky, and I took that as my inspiration here. Salty background, with the snowman fussy cut and stuck on again, after stamping him on the background to get his twiggy arms. I used layers of torn and slightly crumpled tissue paper for the snow, adding Stickles to it and the torn side edge.
Sentiment stamped over random snowflakes, and then I added the gold stars.

What a wonderful card this is! I love your snowman with a pot on his head for a hat, and I love the story of how this all came together too! This is adorable! ~Karen.
