I am in dire need of Halloween cards and have no inspiration whatsoever so I cased this wonderful card by Qtpy here: Cricut fun! by Qtpy at Splitcoaststampers. I made a few changes from her fabulous design, but I kept the moon, branch and black kitty cat. When I was done making this card I realized this could also fit for the Alphabet challenge for K (for Kitties). This card starts with the moon. I sponged squeezed lemonade, then wild honey distress inks very heavily onto the largest SB classic circle die. Then I squeezed out some water onto my craft mat and loaded up a very small paint brush with the water and splattered it onto the moon. I let the water sit for a minute, then pressed a paper towel into it to lift off some of the water (just like Qtpy did). We have a lot of bats where we live (because we have a bat house) so I wanted bats in this card rather than the spooky fun clouds Qtpy had so I stamped them onto the moon. I love how it appears that Ms. Kitty is looking at these bats. The picket fence was a lot of fun to make. I took a silver paint pen and dabbed it here and there onto the black card stock fence die. Then I used a clear wink of stella pen and went over the entire fence to blend out the silver ink and give this fence some real shine in the moonlight. I originally thought I was going to use the Cheery Lynn cat die on the branch (see the kitty on the fence?), but it did not work for me so I ended up going with the Impression Obsession kitty instead. I made other Halloween cards this year, cut all the pieces out, colored them, and realized I just hated them. I am so pleased I walked away from that idea and chose to case Qtyp's design here instead because I am really much happier with this card over my original.

Your splotchy moon looks quite intriguing, Karen....Love the placement of both kitties, and your iron fence really shines in the moonlight! Cool dp for your bg~

Oh my! I loooove this card... I'm a major cat lover, so this is right up my alley. ;) I'm also feeling a bit uninspired when it comes to Halloween cards... I wish I had the tools to CASE this one. TFS xoxo

What a great job Karen! Your fence is amazing, I like the whole card but, for me, that fence is the best! Love your background dp and the moon is fabulous. Great job!

I think sometimes casing is way preferred over trying to do one of our own creations. This turned out spectacularly-is that a word?, lol. Love that fence and everything about this. And I just looked up at Catherine's comments about the fence, but I hadn't read it before I commented, lol.
