This seems like a Challenge that I can deal with. And with Anne Ryan's "nudges" I feel I better get on with trying to do a few. My colors seem to fit the requirements although the rust colored stripe in the bg isn't the beautiful orange of choice, it's close...right?
The pink CS was cut from a set of 10 notecards and envelopes purchased on sale at Michaels. The front of the notecard was just plain pink with streaks of gold going through it...ready to be embellished. Managed to cut the foliage and butterfly from one card. I think the sentiment is an old SU stamp, but I'm not sure. I've taken to throwing all the Word or Two sentiments into a box. So much easier than having to search through stacks of SU and other sets of stamps all the time.
I've had this aversion to designing with stripes so this is sort of a therapy card for me. I liked how it turned out and think I'm beginning to feel more comfortable with stripes.
After I put this together I was a little surprised at the explosion of color radiating from it (doesn't show up as well in this picture). Didn't expect that when I started throwing it together, but I like it.
Thanks for looking. I'm trying to keep my narratives a little shorter. Noticed they were starting to look like a short novel.

Oh but they are the colors, silly woman. Let's ruminate over a word u used: Throwing. My Ellen, you do not throw anything together. One can tell you spend time figuring out what looks best. You do CAS so well, Ellen. Love that MB die in pink. You're doing so well with your issue with stripes. Before long, I think I'll probably see a striped awning above your front door. Beautiful card. So happy to see you in the challenge today.

I'm glad you are trying the challenges - I think you will find them a fun way to try something different, and to get lots of supportive comment too! I think your stripes are great and I love that foliage die.

Welcome to the challenge! Great job. Love the leaves diecut in the pink and you paired it wonderfully with the striped paper. The butterfly is a cute accent. You arranged everything so nicely. Great card. I really like that it would be easy to mail. Hope to see you in the challenge again very soon. TFS

Super fun colors and patterns. One of my favorite stamps from SU! too - I am about ready to throw all my one or two word sentiments into a big box too - good idea. Hugz

I can see we're going to have to start this all over again. I came here last week and left empty handed and the same thing is happening right now ... only it's this week now. C'mon now, get a grip and get in the game. I pray enough for you so I'm thinking it's time to get back to the drawing board and bring us everything you've got ... one day, one card at a time. I'll be happy with that. Hugs and prayers.
