For Shirley's Dogs are Kids, Too challenge - THE dog who thinks he's all sorts of other things, and Peppermint Patty always calls him "the kid with the funny nose". I've tagged this for Toni's WT challenge too - we spent hours not just playing card games but also building card houses and seeing who could make the tallest one. And I still remember the Christmas we got little mini-decks of Snoopy playing cards in our Christmas stockings .
This will be for my 19 year old nephew, so I've kept it plain. Plane stamped with Versamark and embossed with pewter EP. Masked off the bottom, added a couple of die-cut clouds and sprayed the rest with a homemade mister. Masked the sky and sponged the bottom, stamping a grid in. Added double borders. The sentiment is straight in line with the top of the card but I think it looks crooked because of the angle of the plane - true!
Stamped the Snoopy card. Hmmm - if you stamp in black you get black diamonds. I might try paper-piecing them in red next time; today I use gouache paints and painted them twice to get them looking red. I didn't consider this as a potential problem when I bought the stamp - the block shows the As, the diamonds and the Flying Ace caption in red but the other outlines are all black.

So cute and creative. That was a great idea to put the card with the plane. I also like the fab background. Thank you, for playing the Free 4 All challenge.

Totally fun card! I can't believe I've never seen that Snoopy image before (I share your love of all things Snoopy....yes, I still have my mini deck of Snoooy playing cards, also received as a Christmas gift many decades ago!!!!)
I love your pairing of the Take Flight stamp set with Snoopy the Flying Ace....you have given me an idea for an upcoming card I need to make with a flying theme. TFS this smile maker AND for the inspiration!
