I give a dear friend my colored paper scraps and she gives me paper that she has made with them. Sometimes they are plain with flecks of gold or flora matter embedded in them. Sometimes, as is this one, she has created a design on them....like this "Italian technique" marbleized heart design. I really don't want to get "rid of" them, but use them on cards for VERY special people.

Sallie, what a wonderful idea between the two of you. Your background is just beautiful and so is your card.

Wow what an amazing BG your friend created. Oh I would love to know how she made this amazing BG. You sure used it beautifully on this card and I am sure your friend would love to see the stunning creation you made with this one.

I can certainly understand saving that gorgeous paper for a very special card - it gorgeous. I've been wanting to try making paper for a while (I even bought a book), and I would love to think I could make something so beautiful. The gold die cut and border show it off to perfection!

That certainly is special! The family I did my second French exchange with, the father was an art teacher and he did this sort of stuff. I can imagine that it's even more beautiful in real life, too.
