A quick card for Misti's Show Us Your Scars HYCCT challenge.
The base is actually left from a card I made for Kelli's Bokeh challenge last year - I mis-stamped the sentiment on it and it has been in my spares box ever since. (Details of how I made it are in THIS upload).
Today I simply tore off the edge with the crooked sentiment and stamped a different one in the bottom corner, pierced one edge, added a butterfly and then stuck it to an embossed card base.
The butterfly is one layer of dry-embossed vellum, then the outline die was cut from shimmer paper and I used a scrap of holographic card for the body.

Hey Sabrina! Ive been thinking about you, my Irish friend! This is the first card of yours I've seen. I need to go back and look more carefully, but I love what you've done here with the pretty colors, background, and butterfly. I'll look up more of your cards.

It took me a while to see it, but the softly stamped butterfly on the bg is lovely....great save! The sanded embossing and piercing are another way to show that scarring can be beautiful!
Stunning! So great that you could use that beautiful background. The beautiful colors, the designs of both background pieces and that gorgeous butterfly all fit together so perfectly. And that sentiment just says it all, doesn't it?
