I combined today's challenge with the SC from yesterday. I stamped the plaid BG, deliberately trying to make sure the stripes weren't completely inked and then added the snowflakes. The circle was cut away and the snowflake stamped on the white panel, in spring moss, then I added a piece of vellum to soften the look. The edges were distressed with the Tim Holtz distressing tool and the panel attached. The winter was diecut from white and the rest of the sentiment was added in enchanted evening. I added the rhinestones, in keeping with the sketch. I'm sorry, I don't do grunge very well, but I really tried.

Sue, if you hadn't said that you created the bg DP, I would have thought it was one of those older Basic Gray DPs that had a well-worn, mottled look!! You really have a great sense of design and color to create such a piece. It makes a wonderful holiday card with your featured snowflake.

Sue, I'm hard-pressed to say what grunge really is, but the bottom line here is that I really like your card......especially the incomplete stripes. Good goin' gal!

You've got many of the grunge elements here..distressing, worn look to the paper..so I say you did well on the challenge. I like the look of this with non traditional holiday colors. The vellum is a terrific detail for this winter card.

Oh Sue, I love your distressed edges and distressed gorgeous plaid bg. I can't believe that is not DSP my friend. Well done. Love your subtle stamped snowflakes and stamped main image snowflake with the vellum window and die cut Winter. All just perfect! TFS Sue and always inspiring me!
