This is a card that I very quickly put together to go with a gift for a dear friend who was moving away, someone I likely will not see for a very long time. I had been ill in the preceding days, and only about 2 hours before I had to leave to visit with my friend, did I consider that perhaps I could make a card (plus take photos and write a heartfelt note of thanks for her friendship) for her in that time-frame. Fortunately I had the frame die-cut made--that Anna Griffin Fretworks Die set was a recent purchase, and I had die-cut various dies in the set in a couple of colors--this turquoise frame was the inspirational focus of the card.
I don't tend to make cards quickly--but I am improving in this area over time. Even still, I was pleased to be able to make a card that I could give to my friend in that time-frame. Hopefully I will continue to be able to learn to make cards quicker when I need to do this.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FRAME DIE AS WELL AS THE EDGE OF THE DIE WITH THE SENTIMENT ON IT DID NOT PHOTOGRAPH AS IT APPEARED, THE ACTUAL APPEARANCE WAS MORE OF A SHIMMERY TONE-ON-TONE LOOK, IT WAS NOT THE SILVERY LOOK THAT THE PHOTOS SHOW HERE. MY APOLOGIES!!! I have MUCH to learn about taking photos of cards, especially when they have glitter or some sort of gleam on the surface--and MOST of my cards (with the exception of masculine cards) have some form of shimmer on them!
Please see the longer note with the Close-Up view of this card (I apologize for the long length) for more details, and for details on how I created these paper flowers, please see the cards I made with Heartfelt Creations products in June/July, 2014--these flowers were made at the same time. They were my first attempts (I made 2 batches within a couple of days) playing with flowers--clearly they are very easy to make. I hope to play a lot more with these and see what else I can create--I absolutely LOVE making them!!! SO much fun!!!
Thank you so much for checking out my card, it means a great deal to me when you stop in and take a look at it! And when you leave a comment, it absolutely makes my day--thank you!!! I am encouraged by your comments, and it is my goal to learn from them and to grow and improve as a card-maker.
Please know how much I appreciate all that I learn from each of you when I view your beautiful cards--thank you for all that you teach me! How thankful I am for Splitcoaststampers--for all I have learned here, and as well for the friends I have made since I started uploading my cards on this wonderful site!

What a stunning card for your long time friend! The fretwork die is a gorgeous piece for your BG! Love the way the flowers turned out, especially with all the glittered look on them. Your saying could not be more perfect!!

I think even the most experienced card photographers are challenged with glitter and shine! This is gorgeous and I imagine your friend was deeply touched by this work of heart. That is one gorgeous sentiment and is framed so beautifully by that Fretwork die cut...ummmm just delicious!

I'm overwhelmed. Never ever do I see an intricate die cut bg that I love. They're just not my style; however, I will admit this die is really gorgeous resting atop your cardstock. It's actually drop dead gorgeous. Moreover, I think those flowers are in a category all by themselves. They are beautiful. Lovely glitter and I can't figure out what else is on them. I encourage you to consider participating in the daily challenges. The whole gallery, Im certain, would love to enjoy your art work.
