I really needed a card challenge, and this was it! I was surprised by the small size of the panels, and that forced me to rethink my stamp selections. I also thought it needed some white space in the center panels, so I added the washi tape to divide the panels after stamping in opposite diagonal directions with part of the front stamp image. I added the satin pearls, using the smaller size for the holly berries and the next size to anchor the corners of each panel. Probably my greatest challenge was figuring out how to use my bracket punch to get the bottom effects. I couldn't cut two at one time, so panel by panel, I tried to get a look that closely approximated the sample. This style is a keeper, and now that I have done one and waded through the steps, these can be done for other occasions as well. I have a few border punches, but have to play on sizing. Special people will receive one of these if they are on Santa's "Nice" list! Thanks, too, to Dawn for her encouragement in uploading my finished product. Diane

Congratulations on your first upload! This is a spectacular 'first'! You are using one of my favourite stamps and I would never have thought to use it in this way. I actually printed out this tutorial but haven't tried it yet. I really like your partial images. The holly carrying on from the front panel is the perfect interior image. Great colouring too! The plaid washi tape really works well to finish the edges of your partial images. Super card! Hope to see you around in the galleries. :-)
