I made the background with gesso and a stencil on black paper. When it dried, I used a brayer in different color inks..concord crush, pumpkin pie and baja breeze. Made the banner from the banner framelits dies and added the scallop and circle and put googlie eyes on my bat.

Oh! I bet this has amazing texture in real life! Love that lattice look. Your bat is so cute. I don't think a Halloween card will go amiss at all. Some of us are batty all year round! :-)
Ooh, I love your background. Looks a little like polished stone. Fabulous result.

GREAT bg, Gayle. Before reading your description, I thought it was possibly the reverse......a black lattice over a bg panel that you had created. Makes a stunning bg for your banner main panel.

What a fabulous card! The background you have created is amazing, it looks so textured and 3D. Love how you gessoed over the black....so interesting. Thanks so much for joining in my HYCCT challenge.
