OK, this was really a step out of the box for me! First, my BG was made with a gelli plate, making a few slashes in the paint before it dried. (My guess is that you can interpret these lines as the trail of some skywriter currently working overtime, practicing their moves!
Next, I finger painted with some white acrylic paint to make the clouds. The diecuts were all cut out (thanks, susieaustralia, for 'enabling' me to get a bicycle die - NOTE - this is probably one of the bikes that Sassy Cheryl left outside a shop and someone made off with it and left it parked on my card!!) Then, lo and behold, my tree trunk was TOO SHORT, so I ventured into Dina's challenge this week to go LEFTY, and used my non dominant hand to "paint" a longer trunk for the tree, and then 3 different green markers to add some leaves to the tree and some "chrome" to the bicycle, all the while hoping that I would not bite my tongue, as it was sticking out the side of my mouth to help me concentrate!! Last I added some marker touches on the fence, and the grass to accent.
I think the tree is too tall now, and the branches are too high, so my excuse here is that a new arborist came out and was "learning" how to trim a tree that day, and failed miserably! It is what it is, dear friends, and hopefully I will do better next time!!
Congrats to Jingle who gave me the inspiration to use a bicycle with A beautiful ride Your gallery took me most of the afternoon to go through - such wonderfully sweet CAS cards that inspired me no end!!!
Thanks for looking, and have a wonderful week everyone!

I love this Sue! And you found a bike die without a basket on it! What an adorable, inviting scene! Every rider takes a break under a tree and yours is perfect, throwing a lot of shade! How fun and kudos for all the new techniques you used!

Amazing background. I love your stories. Love that bicycle behind the picket fence. I will certainly CASE this card for my DD, who has no car and rides her bike everywhere.

Oh, my, using a gelli plate. That is fabulous and you made a awesome background with it. I am going to break down and get one of those one of these days. Your scene is wonderful. I love the bicycle. I have been contemplating getting one from the Classy Cards N Such store. Now I am contemplating it even more since I saw your card.

OK, I'm back. I have grounded myself from my gelli plate until I USE some of my backgrounds. I have quite a beautiful stack! I haven't tried doodling into the paint yet - I'll save that idea away.
