After all this time you would think I'd learn to read challenges properly. This was going to be for Sabrina's fun leaf challenge. When I checked the gallery I realised the challenge is AUTUMN leaves.
It's springtime here and a lot of plants and trees are self seeding in the garden, I don't know what plant this is from. The leaf on the left is a slightly larger version of the leaf used on the card.
I used a gelli plate and lots of black, white and purple paint. I highlighted some of the stem with white paint. I added paint dots with the end of a paint brush. Stickles have also been added here and there.
Thank you for looking.
EDIT: Sabrina has very kindly welcomed me to join in the challenge. xx

That is one of the most fascinating backgrounds I have seen! I would have never thought to add purple to black and white but it's something to try for sure. The texture you created is awesome! I love the way you highlighted the image to bring it to the foreground! It's all so perfect on the woodgrain.

Hey Susie, I think if you used an actual leaf from the garden it should count for the WT challenge - you can't help it that if you picked a real leaf it just happens to be Spring down there, LOL. Edit this and put the keyword in so it can shine in our leafy gallery ;-).

I THOUGHT THE LEAF WAS A STAMP!!!! That's a testament to your artistic skills! As to it being spring there, I have to tell you that until several years ago, my knowledge of Australia (besides koalas, kangaroos and the aborigines that I hoped would eat an old boss of mine who was transferred there) was that whatever season we had, you had the opposite and that when you flushed a toilet there, the water ran counterclockwise.
I have NO idea why I would retain that last fact, nor why it would fascinate me. heh heh
