I wanted a masculine look for an early October birthday, so I used the With Gratitude leaves instead of flowers and added the praying hands for an inspirational lift. The plaid background is from an upholstery swatch book.

Bingo!! I love that idea to use the fabric swatches! I have millions of them just hanging around waiting such a fabulous idea! Love the leaves and the inspirational feel of your gorgeous creation.

Oh, Lois, so clever to use the fabric, which definitely gives it a fall feel and also is masculine! Beautiful Scripture too!! (Being a "former" quilter, I have LOTS of fabric in my stash! Ha!) Hugs!

Genius use of fabric for this WONDERFUL masculine card. I am always impressed when someone aces the dreaded "masculine" card (dreaded for me) and you have knocked one out of the park. Love how you did your line border around your sentiment...very cool!

Super masculine card! The fall colors against the plaid (love that swatch) are such a great combination and the praying hands are perfect with your sentiment.
