This is another "late night with the insomniac dog" card. Most of these wee hour of the morning cards are done with poor lighting. I have a wonderful Ott light, but I would have to run an extension cord from the dinning room table to a socket that is not close. Dolly, my sweet old dog, sticks to me like velcro and if I moved to get a craft supply she would surely trip on the cord and send everything crashing to the floor. It is always interesting when the sun comes up and to see what my card actually looks like. Sometimes I find that all that tail wagging and hand licking by Dolly was not a good indication that I was creating a masterpiece. All of you seemed to have such success with water color paints...mine bled everywhere. The first donation to the trash can. Finally, after a few more fails, I switched to my fav medium - prisma pencils blended with gamisol. A little hard to color on the embossed surface without smashing it flat, but it eventually worked. Plus an added surprise. When I looked through my collection of embossing folders I found this berry one that I didn't know I had. Christmas in July! Finally something good about aging...I might forget what craft supplies I have and everyday I will think I got something new from the craft supplies fairy. TFL, Francie

My first attempt at this technique also didn't make it to a card..I love what you came up with and isn't it fun to find something you forgot you had! Lovely colors on your cherries and berries and what a cute and fun way to frame this with gingham and dots!

Oh you are too funny about forgetting. I'm always asking DH "When did they build that" and he laughs and says, "It's always been there." He knows I think everything is new and exciting too. Your card is wonderful and I'm glad you "found" the EF. I also have a rough time with water coloring. When it smears you have to pretend you meant for it to be that way.

What a gorgeous field of fruit! Your colouring is beautifully vibrant on that lovely embossing folder. I have never seen that one before. I'm avoiding this challenge on the grounds that it is too hard. :-) I have half my supplies up north and half at home and half in transit throughout the summer. I never know where anything is or what I have with me. Isn't it nice to 'discover' new things! Love your card. It just cries out farmer's market and summer to me. TFS

This is fabulous! What a terrific surprise - gotta love those, even if they make me think I'm getting old-timers disease. That is one very cool ef, and I love how cheerful your bg looks with the gingham and polka dots!

this is an awesome summer card! The colors are perfect, the fruit looks so tasty, and the shading on the fruit really sets it off. You nailed this challenge!
