Thanks for taking a peek at my mixed media card! The inspiration for this card came from an Art Journal I saw a while back that sadly I canÂ’t find my way back to. My card uses Claudine Hellmuth creative layers foam stamps along with their coordinating clear stamps for two-step stamping. Mine are from the Bloom collection.
I began with white cardstock; stamped SU Off the Grid and a 7 gypsies background word stamp. From there I distressed the card with TH inks. I used Claudine Hellmuth traditional tan Studio paint, along with her foam leaf stamps (from the Bloom collection) to create a tan backing for the leaves. Once the paint was dry I layered on the coordinating clear leaf stamps over the paint using Ranger Archival ink in black. I masked some of the leaves as I stamped to create the layers. Once the leaves were finished I masked them off and stamped the whimsical foam circle in SU More Mustard, then the coordinating clear circle overlay in black ink. I outlined the leaves in red colored pencil to make them pop; blended the red with mineral spirits. I stamped my sentiments from Tim Holtz Thoughts and Phrases collection, and die cut GROW from QuicKutz Lemonade alphabet set. This card will be a teacher appreciation card for someone on my sonÂ’s IEP Team.

Into my favorites this goes! What a phenomenal background! Thanks for describing your process! I love the sentiments, the random stamping in your background and your perfect blend of colors! Spectacular card!
