Today Jeanne asked for things that fly & to use at least 2 different media. I'll admit I had a hard time deciding on a second media.
I have an old bird set from my friend Martha. I chose this cardinal, perfect for something that flies!
I stamped my image & colored, blending chalk. I looked & looked at this trying to decide on a background & should I cut it out. No cutting. I finally mixed blue & white acrylic paint & applied with a 1/2" wide brush.

The State Bird of Ohio...I have a soft spot for them. Wonderful card, Karen, with this magnificent bird as your focal point. The bg that you created has the look of subtle birch bark.

Lovely card Karen, your cardinal looks like he is ready for flight now.... the wispy bg goes perfectly and reminds me of the wind. Oh, and your welcome..... I just try to pass on the enabler thing.... it is only fair my dear... LOL...
