I would never drill or glue anything to ruin antique furniture, so I bought inexpensive tension rods for my ribbon rolls. I did have to enlarge the centers in the spools to fit around the rods, but that was a quick and easy fix. The odd bits and pieces are contained on the top shelf next to the rods. I also hung a plastic ruler and a small pair of scissors on the clothes hanger rod above the spools so I can measure and cut the ribbon as I need it. If I need to remove or add a spool, the tension rods remove and replace easily.
