This card started with 2 white card bases 5 ¾” square. I stamped my background image on one piece and ran it through the Cuttlebug using the part of the Sizzix Valentine Flourish that I wanted to appear on the card (the flourish is 12” long). The negative space is used from this cut but I saved the white flourish to use on another card. I then placed a piece of black cardstock over same part of the die I used for the white piece and ran that through the Cuttlebug. Using the 2nd white card base, I adhered the negative space that was created from my stamped image, then inlayed the black flourish. The 2nd base just keeps everything in the right place while gluing the pieces down and provides for perfect alignment of the flourish. I finished the card with a raised focal image, sentiment, and matting. There might be a simpler way to make this card but it wasn’t too complicated.
