Misti (Scraperwannabe) directed us to a site showing the many colors of cancer - not just pink for breast cancer - and challenged us to make a card representative of one or more of the types/colors.
I chose colon cancer (dark blue) and esophageal cancer (periwinkle) for my friend Ben and for my deceased brother Raymond, respectively.
I rarely use vellum - I guess I'm kind of afraid of it. But this card was super easy! I followed Nichole Heady's instructions (sorry I don't have a link). Stamp the image in Versamark, heat emboss with white ep, turn the vellum over and sponge a color in the center of the flower - on the back. When you turn the vellum to the front again, the color is softly muted.
It works better, I think, if you have a more open-work flower than mine. But because the center of my flower is dense, I was able to use my glue runner at the center of each flower to adhere the vellum with no tape showing. The vellum goes completely over the back of the card also.

Your white embossed blossoms look gorgeous on the vellum! I wish your friend Ben and your brother Raymond the very best in their battle against cancer.
