This is for Misti's "Many Colors of Cancer" HYCCT challenge. I chose the color black for Melanoma, because I have several friends that have gone through scary times faced with melanoma and an acquaintance that passed away several years ago after a difficult battle.
My card has some cheery pinks and corals in it too because the black doily seemed mighty somber without a lift of color!
Thank you Misti for this challenge. I learned a few things from the site you sent us to!

Angie, this is amazing!!! The black doily is so elegant & the roses add a nice pop of color to make this card an eye catching work of art. Thank you for playing in my challenge!

Love your use of the black doily! What awesome contrast with that gorgeous paper and so elegant! Your roses are so beautifully done too. What a fabulous card!
I think we all learned from Misti's site and her challenge. I like the fact that you added color to your card. My friend Kay who also died from melanoma, lived a very colorful life with her family and friends. The only blackness came when she left us. Sorry for your losses. Such a pretty card you have made.

Your gorgeous rolled roses and pretty background paper are stunning with your black doily, Angie. There are too many lives touched by this dreadful disease.
