Peg gave us an interesting color challenge today. I shy away from brights (I guess I'm not that bright!) but the neutrals with which Gumball was paired really worked today.
This card is for the daughter of my Dental Hygienist. She has suffered for months, not being able to hold anything down. She has been to several children's hospitals on the east coast, most of whom told her that her problem was beyond their ability to diagnose. At the "mecca" hospital of the region, they basically said that she was crazy and believed her to be bulimic. It wasn't until she was admitted as an inpatient under 24 hour surveillance that they realized how very ill that she is...vomiting no less than 45 times in a 24 hour period. They finally referred her to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN and she has a new diagnosis and treatment plan. As a hospital insider I can not emphasize strongly enough that you should never be made to feel that your doctor is doing you a favor by taking you on as a patient...when truly ill you should not feel as though you are a burden to your doctor. If he or she cannot explain and satisfactorily treat an illness a second opinion is in everyone's best interest. Please keep Sarah in your prayers. PT - 2
Thank you Peg for the inspiration. Thank you all for looking and have a peaceful day.

Lovely card of encouragement for your dental hygienist, Marie. May her daughter receive the best of care and diagnosis and be back on the road to good health.

I can't imagine the frustration your dental hygienist and her daughter are experiencing. Hopefully, the end is in sight. The sentiment on your card is so very true. I like the lattice-look embossing folder.

My MIL often said "This too shall pass" but of course the saying is enriched by the 2nd part as we don't get to decide for ourselves just when or how the passing goes!
Love your mix of textures and layers Marie. I will pray for this girl to find answers to her situation.

My sister could relate to your card who is going through a rough time. Wonderful card for someone who has trouble seeing the light.
