Welcome to this edition of Create With Me Monday, Stacy here with a gift tag creation for the holiday season. So grab your coffee and lets get started. For my gift tag I am using Perfectly Pierced Classic Window die, stamp sets Snow Scenes and Sentimental Christmas, lace trim and Color Made Easy True Blue card stock. I started making my own gift tags at Christmas a few years ago and now it seems to be a given that will happen every year. I think the saying goes… “I created a monster?” Ha ha! Actually I do enjoy creating the tags, trying different shapes and designs. It is fun and I hope you will be inspired to create your own. Cut the darkest color blue card stock 4 inches width x 7 inches in length. Score and fold at 4 inch mark. Place your Perfectly Pierced Classic Window die just above the folded edge as shown and die cut. This will allow for an insert to be added for a hand written message. My sentiment is from Sentimental Christmas. I stamped it onto classic white card stock and then die cut it using Spellbinders classic circles. Once your sentiment is cut, lay your scrap paper and a piece of lace trim across the front yet don’t adhere. You will want to see where they will lay on your panel and mark a little pencil line across the top. On top of lightly draw pencil line add a sticky note to the line. Stamp the trees and snowflakes from Snow Scenes using Memento Danube Blue ink onto a piece of scrap paper first, then onto your sentiment panel as shown. This gives a lighter image and shows through the sentiment. Remove your sticky note and add lace trim and your designer paper. I have several thin scraps of paper like this that are perfect for little spots such as these tags. Once your paper and lace are added adhere to tag and decorate. Before you punch the hole for your ribbon and cord you will want to fold up the top panel a little so that it is more flexible when opening for the written panel. Punch your hole in the top and add ribbon. These ribbons are the Color Made Easy True Blue Delft and white seam binding. Some silver cord wrapped around and tied off with a wooden button. A little bit of sparkle added to the tree and snowflakes and voila!
