Freddy the frog has escaped! What to do???? Call Curt, of course. He is a professional frog finder/catcher. Let me explainÂ….
While leaning pools with me this summer, Curt has learned the art of frog catching. I have one particular pool that for that last several months each week we find and catch the same frog. I am sure it is the same frog because he “winks” at me each week. hehe
Curt knows that if a frog feels he is about to be captured, he will swim to the bottom of the pool. With this knowledge in mind, Curt is using it at the pond where Freddy is thought to be hiding.
Since the water isn’t as clear as a pool, he had to actually go “IN” the water, snorkel and all. Low and behold there sat ole Freddy.
He was an easy catch. Seem he wasn't trying to run away after all, but rather he was trying to find his little friend, Ricky, and got lost. Problem solved.
Card infoÂ…..hand drawn scene colored with copics. The fish were made using a fish stencil andÂ…wait for itÂ….joint compound from the hardware store. Added some drywall tape for an embellishment. Layered my scene on black cs, then on a black card with a gelli print. Done.....not sure where that dang fly came from. hehe
Well itÂ’s off to the grocery store. Have a great Teapot Tuesday Ladies! See you soon. TFL :0)

You really put new meaning into a hand crafted card . . . using joint compound to make fish and the drywall tape embellishment look amazing! I love your scene.

Cathy this is delightful!! I don't know what we would be without Curt (and you...) showing up to solve the problems each week. I love your dimensional fish and netting, but I sure hope that fly gets caught too...Ricky's mom is not going to like it in his hospital room! Thanks so much for coming to Tyler's Teaparty, it just wouldn't be the same without you...Hugz!!

I guess you would know about frogs -- we sometimes find them in the skimmer basket at our neighborhood pool.
Love the spackling fish -- Home Depot ranks up there with Mike's when it comes to stamping supplies, in my book.

Love your card & story! Cathy, if you're seeing the same frog regularly & he is winking at you, I think you should kiss him. You never know what prince lurks beneath that green slimy surface. LOL.

Curt looks a bit confused in water world. Maybe he is just disgusted at the worm in front of him. I love his red rubber boots. The whole scene is fabulous.
