When I saw the sketch for today, Homer Simpson just POPPED out at me. So I went with it. I know, a little goofy but all in fun.
I think I will send this to my cousin who needs some cheering up. She is dealing with cancer and under going treatments. This will be my "D'OH! card for not call-ling her sooner. I guess I will say, I pulled a Homer!.....then I'll go visit her bringing a box of donuts. hehe
Card details....made my circles. His head circle was gessoed and then painted with acrylic paint. Made the nose using a corner rounder and colored it by dragging the ink pad over top.
In case you couldn't tell, I hand wrote the sentiment after Google'ing what Homer always says.
The blue bg is a gelli print I made last week on regular paper.
Well, hope you get a smile from this. I know, it is a little crazy! ....but then, so am I. hehe.....TFL :0)
Hi Sis!

Oh, how I love how your mind works - have I said that before? You have such a quirky creative streak, it's a joy to see your interpretation on the challenges, Cathy - so fun. And I hope your cousin will respond to her treatment and be welll!

Cathy, a clever idea and a wonderful card! Awesome background too! Nice job!
------------------------------ Phyllis Young at heart, slightly older in other parts. We really never grow up, we just learn how to act in public!! What if you woke up today with only what you had thanked God for yesterday??
