I started playing around with the faux stained glass window technique last week. It is a little time consuming, but I really like the end results. I had my stained glass panel stamped and colored and cut into three pieces, and I was ready to put them onto the black cardstock. Then I decided to FREESTYLE cut it into a cathedral shaped window. I kinda just eyeballed it, so it may not be perfect, but I think it works. The stamps that I used to make this card was Mark's Finest Papers set called CRACKED HELLO and the butterfly is from Unity's stamp set called HERE TODAY, HERE TOMORROW. I used digital stamps for the sentiment and scripture. I used SweetnSassy's AMAZING GRACE DIGITAL STAMP SET.

I love it when I start to recognize a designer before I even see their watermark! This is posted on FB and my first thought, AFTER "oh my, how beautiful" was "this has to be a design by MariLynn and sure enough! Stunning card! You did an amazing job freestyle cutting! I think that MFP background stamp just might be one of my faves! I have used it in so many ways and this is an awesome use for it. I am going to have to give this technique a try!
I just have to add....this reminds me of the chapel at Callaway Gardens! In the garden is a butterfly house and your mix of butterfly and stained glass window so epitomizes Callaway Gardens one of our favorite places to visit!
