Since today is a holiday, I have time to fit in a couple of the VSN challenges before the upload deadline on Wednesday. Still combining with the DTGD challenges too.
Karen's (karengiron) was one I found tricky, so I was happy to revisit it along with Cassie's (and a couple of others!)for Misti's fun two-card Comfort Zone: in and out challenge.
This is my in-comfort-zone card for Misti - it's also for Beate's , Julie (jmasse) and Stacy's (jbgreendawn) DTGD challenges.
A2 base, sponged with Fired Brick.
My background was a failed attempt at acrylic resist. When I misted it, absolutely nothing happened at all, so I put it to one side to come back to later on (hit's Stacy's challenge perfectly!). The other day I started sponging it rather then misting it, and got a good resist so I finished off sponging it this morning. I used the same image for both cards, so this is the Flourishes flower again, this time stamped on watercolour paper, embossed with clear EP and coloured with pencils and some distress ink. I sponged it while in the die with scattered straw, old paper and peeled paint, and then stamped Linen with Weathered Wood. I added two strips of MFT Faux Crochet which were left unused from another card, added Vintage Corners cut from gold card and finished off the scallop and the flower with lots of Liquid Pearls.

This turned out brilliantly, despite your thoughts to the contrary - I don't know how you keep up with so many challenges - you are definitely a multi-tasker par excellence!
