You have no idea how thrilled when I saw that Colleen aka Smoatsmom was recognized as Featured Stamper this week. Not only is she one incredibly versatile and talented lady but also a kind friend. We have both been through our share of trials and joys the past few years and she has a gentle way of letting one know that she cares. And by the way...she is a fellow Jersey Girl!
I chose to CASE this amazing card: Damask Tulip by Smoatsmom at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the same layout, but added a skewed panel, changed the colors and made the bow a bit more demure. I tried several images, die cuts and coloring techniques but the flower that I'd hoped to copy just didn't work. PT - 2
Thanks Bridget for choosing sweet Colleen as FS. Congratulations my friend on an honor well deserved...Hugz!! Thank you all for looking and have a peaceful day.

Marie, you Jersey girls sure know how to work paper! Love your case, gorgeous butterfly and those lil gems! After reading your kind words for Colleen, the sentiment seemed to fitting. Lovely.

Oh, Marie, reading your words really warms my heart. Thank you for all the lovely things you said, and for making this pretty card to play along in the challenge. LOVE the floral paper you chose to set your butterfly upon, and the skewed panels (Marisa will be proud! She and skewed panels are getting to be good friends after all these years) and the delicate sentiment.
I've had a lot of fun this week being FS. It feels like someone threw me a baby shower or surprise birthday party.
Big hugs!!!!!

Marie, I'm SO THRILLED to see you back!!!! You didn't have to use the flower with the dyn-o-mite dp you chose. I love it angled along with your pretty lace treatment. That floral paper says it all my friend. I hope things are going okay. I haven't seen you much on the site. I haven't been 'round too much lately either. Hugzzzz always!
