My 2 year old granddaughter can count to 20. She doesn't know what it means yet but it is the first math we all do. I found this quotation on quotegarden.com: 'The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings.'
My focal piece is stamped on watercolor paper. I wet the paper after stamping and used sandpaper to sand off bits of watercolor pencil all over the background. The bits of pencil bled and moved around the paper and also created some texture. Then I watercolored the butterfly. This stamp is larger than what you see; I cut it down to fit the card. At the last moment, I added a few butterflies at the bottom.

Lovely card Jean..I like how you did your butterfly and just used part of the image..the background with just the outline of the flowers and the splotches of watercolor on top is so pretty and looks wonderful with your butterfly...great quote, too!

What an interesting and fabulous quote!! I love it with the butterfly and flowers, whose days are surely numbered, but are blessings to be counted daily!! Well done!
