This is my card entry for Papertrey, Ink's Make it Monday #110 (Collage Elements). Dawn McVey hosted the Make it Monday Video and in her words, "Collage elements on projects look so effortless to create, until you actually start putting the elements together to make your own." Whew, she wasn't kidding! I decided on the theme of Thank-you. This is also a good way to see where your category of stamps may be lacking. For me, it's background stamps, and small word phases.
I used Hero Arts (Friend Definition) for my small word phase and stamped it first. Then used my Background Basics: Houndstooth to stamp over and under the small word phase. Different fonts, large and small made up the repetition of thank you, ending with the sentiment phase in the lower left corner. I stamped offed three leaves and added a small red button to repeat the red mat and frame.
I enjoyed the challenge of creating this collage because I've thought about trying some art journaling. This challenge has made me think about how I might approach my pages, the prompts, and layout when I start.
