Here are a number of cards that I've made for a monthly swap with friends. I am just getting caught up on a them as my Mom has been ill and I'm her main caregiver. I still have cards to do for the months of March, April and May and hope to get to those ones before too long.
This was for our Easter/Spring themed card swap. I love birds and also like watching them collect scraps to build their nests with. Each spring a toss out yarn scraps in our yard to aid them in their pursuits. I thought that this card could use some woven jute gunny sack fabric to add a little flair to the project. The fabric was tightly woven so I removed every other thread both vertically and horizontally and will toss those scraps outside for the real birds in our yard. I also had found some really cute wooden birds by Maya Road and couldn't resist adding one of those to this card either. I'm thinking spring, but it's still below freezing here with lots of snow and ice. Come on sunshine!!!
