Here are a number of cards that I've made for a monthly swap with friends. I am just getting caught up on a them as my Mom has been ill and I'm her main caregiver. I still have cards to do for the months of March, April and May and hope to get to those ones before too long.
This particular card's theme was "hello". I had seen a firefly (lightning bug?) on Splitcoast a long time ago and decided to try my hand at making one. I popped him up on a little action Wobble spring, which gave him great movements. The tiny little gold specks applied randomly on the card were meant to look like other fireflies off in the distance. The girls I swap with really liked the movement of the firefly on this card. It doesn't really show in the photo, but the papers used for the bug have a metallic sheen to them. Each bug is made up of 18 pieces. He was a lot of work but I feel he was well worth it. I hope you'll find him kind of cute too! I've always loved the verse inside the card as it's sure to bring a smile to the recipient. I hope it brought a smile to you too! Thanks for looking.
