Wooooot Woooot!! today we are celebrating Ms Eula's 110th birthday....Can you believe it?...wouldn't you just love to hear the stories she can tell?....If you want to join in the birthday party, check out the rest of the story here:
My card doesn't look much like the inspiration pictured but the vase does have tulips on it.
Cindy asked us to share a favorite b-day memory: We didn't have birthday parties growing up so my 18th was extra extra special...it fell on the same day I graduated high school....wooot!! I was determined to have my Granny at graduation and pestered my parents until they relented and let me drive 2 hrs each way to pick her up as long as I took someone with me....So Granny got to visit for a week, I got spoiled a little, graduated and ready to set off into the wild world all at the same time....The McCoy vase pictured is what Granny brought me for graduation...It sat on her mantle alway while I was growing up and I looooooved it....It still has a prominant spot on my shelf of all white McCoys...If Granny were still with us, she would be about 5 yrs older than Ms Eula and she loved the Art Deco period of her young adult days so that is the rest of the inspiration for this card...
