I have seen several examples of bra cards over the years, and to be perfectly honest, I thought they were cute but something that I would never need to make. As it turns out, I had a perfect reason to make one. My friend, Kristin, is a young woman currently battling breast cancer. Her age (late 20Â’s) and the type of cancer that she has, meant that she needed not only chemo but a complete mastectomy to prevent the cancerÂ’s return. In her incredibly brave and optimistic spirit, she decided that she was going to celebrate the fact that she was getting new boobs in any size she wanted! So this card is for her, I hope it brings many a smile to her face!
The design is not something I had a pattern for; I just kind of made it up as I went along. So I wrote up a little tutorial and put it on my blog. If you'd like more info, please visit this post http://mnfroggie.blogspot.com/2012/0...-tutorial.html
This isnÂ’t my original idea, but I have no clue who came up with it first!

I think Kristin is going to be blown away by your card....and have a good laugh in the process. It is a VERY fancy bra...like an expensive La Perla....with that gorgeous "black lace" and finely pleated heart ruffles. Fun rosy glow in the cleavage too! : ) I wish her the best!!....you're a good friend.

My DD said the same thing! D's for parties, A for work!! A sense of humor is so necessary! Lovely job making a bra that really works, Trina!

Love the look of the ruffled border on your bra. My mom just had her reconstructive surgery from her mastectomy a year ago yesterday. Praying your friend comes through it all OK!
