For this weekÂ’s inspiration challenge, Inspired by Art (SIC119) we were find inspiration from two sites displaying art by the popular Aaron Christensen. As soon as I saw this print, I was inspired to do a digi-page using photos from our trip on the Arizona stretch of Route 66. We stopped at a fun drive-in restaurant called the Snow Cap.
Journaling: “My friend, Sherry, told me about this crazy roadside restaurant on Route 66 in Seligman (between Williams & Kingman, AZ) that was really fun, so I knew we’d want to stop there for lunch. It’s called the Snow Cap, and was built in 1953 by local resident Juan Delgadillo. Juan passed away in 2004, but his family still runs it. It’s filled inside and out with crazy signs and unusual props. Customers are greeted with jokes and other antics and you could spend hours just reading all the cards and memorabilia plastered on the walls. We loved this place and I hope we get to go there again someday!”

A perfect inspired page! I love how you translated that art to your creation here! It reminds me of a Route 66 museum on Route 66 that we visited somewhere near Precious Moments in Carthage Mo.
