This week's TSC was to be "all about paper". My take on this was no stamps; create a scene with paper. I tried several different photos but none would capture the image and do it justice so trust me when I say it looks better IRL. I have a sizix die that is a fram but reminds me so much of a bird cage that I modified it a bit, added bars by simply cutting thin strips from black CS and glued to the back side of the frame. I punched the bird and using Michelle Zindorf's technique, I hi-lited the die cut bird using markers. Punched a MS branch for the bird to sit on and adheared them to my card base. Doted the base with a green marker then adheared the cage over the images. Tied a bow and called it done!

Tater, what a pretty and elegant card! Wow, I love how you've created the bird cage - it looks awesome. The pretty colors of the little birdie and branch are perfect.

Tater this is beautiful! How smart to make your own cage. I like having multiple uses for something. Great thinking. I think your bg paper is pretty along with your bow. I am lovin how you did your bird. Now I'm going to have to find MZ's tutorial on this. I was lucky enough to take a class with her about 3 years ago. She is so talented and I like how you are using a lot of her tutorials.
