And last but not least, my final project! This might be my favorite I've created this week. It is simple, but it turned out exactly like I wanted and I really like those colors together.
I know Brandi mentioned she's remodeled some boxes she's had in her stash for four years. Well, this notebook has been in my closet waiting to be altered for about as long. I stumbled upon it when I switched some furniture around in my room and decided it was about high time I hid that ugly deer picture on the cover and replace it with something nicer.
I used the Pocketful of Posies paper for the upper part and combined it with my favorite polka dot paper from last year's In Color hostess pack. I used my new uninked Spencerian Alphabet to stamp "Notes" in Versamark and white-embossed it. I hid the seam between the papers with a rickrack piece die-cut with the Tasteful Trims die and added a button from the new Spice Cake collection. Those buttons are huge!! I used a piece of white taffeta ribbon to thread the button and glued it outside of the pocket to avoid the bulk, using sticky strip.
If you look closely at the paper, you'll notice there are some additional flowers that weren't previously there. Those small flowers are actually the leftover part from the new lace border punch we have. I kept them aside the last time I used the punch, thinking I could use them on something eventually, and they jumped out at me while I was making this. I also used my handheld punch to punch through the new Silver shimmer paper to create the flower centers.
If you look at the other picture, you'll see I also decorated the inside of the notebook cover to match, and added a nametag on the first page.
On this note, I am going to bed to get some much-needed rest!
TFL!

I can see why it's your favorite, Cindy, because it's just AWESOME! Such a great mix of designer papers and just the right added touch of embellishments. Oh...and the colors just rock too.
