Well, I had the great idea to combine some challenges- easy, right? Except it took me most of the day to complete this design. This card encompasses several techniques/ styles: Handmade paper flowers, distressing, real cross-stitch with actual thread and following a sketch. Phew, time for a drink.
This was my first rolled flower. I followed the tutorial here and hand-cut the paper. I used crystal effects on the bottom to glue it together. The hand-stitching takes me back. I spent many years enjoying counted cross-stitch, so my supplies are laying in the hallway now so I could find a needle and the right color of thread.
I had never inked this little girl with the May flower- lily of the valley. This is my favorite flower and my birth month, so it has a special meaning to me. Her dress is paper pieced using retired but precious DSP Bella Rose. I used Tea stain around the base dsp and the image panel. I hope you like this and appreciate a comment if you do.
Thanks to all the Dirty Girls who inspire me with your talents and challenges.

I think your efforts were definitely worth the sresult. This is a stunning, eye-catching card. I think it could have gotten overwhelming and busy trying to incorporate 4 challenges, but it is very nicely done. Love, love, love the flowers.

Good job with the multiple challenges. Like you, I'm a former cross-stitcher and had lots of thread. I love the DP you used for your little girl's dress.
