This week's teaparty is a beach party - we're bringing anything you find on a beach and/or guitars. Our destination this week is 17 year old Anthony in Levittown, Pennsylvania - he is on the long road to recovery from a bad accident and could use some cheering up. His world revolves around music. If you would like to join us, you can read more about it here.
In trying to decide what to bring to the beach party, I started reminiscing about old beach songs from the 60's and remembered the Beach Boys' song "Girls on the Beach" from their "Endless Summer" album. What teenage boy wouldn't want to see cute girls on the beach? So from there I came up with this scene. I used Leigh Grady's Hound Dog playing a guitar she made for our teaparty a few weeks ago and 3 of her cute girls (no bikinis in this scene) as well as the darling sand pail and shovel she provided the teapotters with for this week's teaparty. The scene just kind of grew from there.

Susan, wow, you sure know how to "create a scene" -
Any boy would love to be followed by his very own bunch of groupies and this looks like he had succeeded in charming a cute bunch - Lovely card - thanks for thinking of Anthony!!

Reminds me of the bonfire we had on a beach after a friend's 21st . Always a visual treat to see what you have come up with - and this beach hut is just as good as the TH die one you made a while back. I like the fish weather vane, and I love the heron (?) in the sea.

Wow! I looked at it for ages but I'm still not sure I took it all in. So much fabulous detail. I love the wading heron, moondoggie, and I especially like the realistic beach fire. I always enjoy your teapot creations.
