Well, this looked better in my head than it does on paper -- but we all know how that goes! As I looked through all the inspirational beads on Doodletart, my eye was caught by this purple passions beauty. I think I should not have used ultra smooth paper for the iris. The marker ink did not really get absorbed well. But it is what it is! I will consider this a learning experience!

I think this is one of those cases where we're our own worst critics - I know I'd be more than happy to receive this.You found a great background paper to capture the bead feel, and the iris looks fine to me.
