Jen's challenge this week was cut up sentiments. This is not something that I do often, so it was fun to give this a whirl.
I need cards for the twins for participating in the school play. Benjamin, for whom I made this card, is on the stage crew. I used the Aluminum from a soda can to emboss the star strip from CB Measure by Measure EF. I got the idea from an Oh My Crafts video posted last night. The owner and his son CB emboss a slew of different materials with varying results. It is not a Beate-quality how to, but a couple of guys from Mars playing around in a Venus world. I found it quite endearing, which is probably why God gave me all sons. I wrapped the aluminum strip in packing tape to keep the edges from cutting anyone (I used Scotch stretching tape). Cut a Nestie Star from silver Holographic paper and mounted both on a black A-6 card with Scor-Tape. PC generated the sentiment, trimmed it closely, used a square punch to cut each individual word, then applied to card.
Thank you so much for looking and have a peaceful day.

Marie, love your story of where you got the idea - as a mom of sons (only 2!), I totally understand how you would find it endearing! Fun, fun element to add to a guy card - I love how it turned out - I bet your son will too!
