Happy First Day of Spring! It won't be long now... the bulbs will all be blossoming and my yard will be filled with the scent of narcissus. Until that magic occurs, I'm busy cultivating my paper garden.
To create the trumpet center of my narcissus, I used the largest of the punched petals. I first sponged it with Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango, then sniped off the bottom edge. I rolled it into a cone shape, playing with it until I liked the shape, trimmed off the excess and glued it together. After it dried, I stuck my finger inside and pushed it into a hard surface to smash the point down. Next I rolled the outside edge back to give it a flare. Cut some tiny strips of paper and glued them in the center, then applied globs of orange Stickles on the ends. The petals were scored down the middle and sponged with Daffodil Delight.
Thanks for looking and Happy Spring!

GORGEOUS!! Makes me want to reach out and touch it, it looks so real. Great way to say "Hello" to the beginning of spring. The Razzleberry background makes it look so rich with the spring green and pale yellow. The flower centers look real the way you made them. Love it!!
