Since this is the week of ODBD's Third Anniversary, we are having a special 3rd Anniversary challenge. The theme for the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge ODBDSLC52 is to use Pearls or Leather, traditional gifts for this anniversary. (this can be real leather or suede or faux leather or suede- it can be the technique for these as well) or pearls (pearls, pearl paper, pearl glimmer mist, etc).
I love this new stamp set, He Will Rise. It is humbling and heart warming to me. I stamped the crosses on faux suede using chocolate chip ink, and cut them out, placing them over a background of sun rays, made by positioning a post it note and sponging over with Apricot Appeal. The faux tooled leather on the back piece is textured paper from Hobby Lobby, and I used ODBD's Exclusive Spellbinder, Labels 1- I love this unique shape!
Hope you join us this week, ODBD's Design Blog on Saturday, March 12. Please use the keyword ODBDSLC52 so we can enjoy your creations too! Thanks for looking!

Oh my, Pat, when I first looked at this, I thought it looked like a cross section of a tree trunk, carved out with the crosses the way the "rings" show on that type of cut!! Gorgeous work, my Sistah!! You certainly are showcasing that Labels 1 die set from ODBD - this one really brings us such an important message!!
Will give this challenge a shot over the weekend - hmmmm, leather or pearls, huh? Got to sleep on that one tonite! lymi!
