I got up early today and signed up for Weight Watchers (had too - no choice!), looked at Big Foot Becky's gallery so I could do the QFTD challenge, and then searched my stamps for something that spoke to me. Well given I am feeling a little chubby today (don't you hate those days), I was drawn to the good old No Place Like Gnome stamp set (mainly for the sentiment that says "I like to hang out with people who are shorter and chubbier than me"). Couldn't use that sentiment because these days, it is getting hard to find people chubbier than me - plus just who do you send a card like that to? I was trying to plan my card around the garden theme on Becky's card and it hit me that the new movie, Gnomeo and Juliet, might give me some good coloring ideas so I went to the trailers online:
Wow- she has been making shaped cards for a long time and this one is beautiful. I changed the colors and image, made it into an easel card, and added a few more layers and embellishments.

Holy, moly, guacamole! How on earth did you come up with this spectacular card from my simple spring scene? The handmade flower is beautiful and so is your colouring of the gnome! I really like the button with bling and the leaves layered below the flower. Thanks for sharing your funny story on how you came up with the gnome theme. I wish you all the best in your weight loss journey. Stand up strong and proud!

Nancy, this is awesome. I see your punching weight loss program is not working based on what you said. Bearzi never did send us the Punching to the Oldies DVD did she? Hey, I feel you pain. When DH came home and retired from the Navy in December, he gained 20 lbs and I gained 10. I'm feelin' like those punches aren't going to do the trick now. I love the shape of your card and that cute gnome. Gosh, I really like your cards as they are so interesting!! Great job and good luck on zee weight loss.
