My story today is a little different, but this one is not made up, it's TRUE!
Late this afternoon, I met Traci's mom, Joyce. She was just delightful!
Traci told me to call her and see if she would like a visit, so I did just that!
When we talked over the phone earlier in the day, she told me she does not have computer access, so I printed out the photo of Cindy's teapot and took that photo along with the story for her to read later.
Joyce was so overjoyed that I, a total stranger, would do something like this. I told her it was nothing and to keep my number and call if she needs anything. I told her, maybe this is my purpose in life, God had me be here where she is, just to lend a helping hand if needed.
She said all the cards, she has received so far, are just so wonderful and that we are all so SWEET to take the time to make these cards and send them to her and Roy, Traci's dad.
Before going to meet Joyce, I stopped at the florist and took some really pretty yellow and orange mums to brighten up their room for them, along with this black and white card I made for them, and also a couple of York Peppermint patties for after dinner tonight, they were afterall black and white, right?
Joyce says, they will probably be there for at least two more weeks, so if you have not yet made and sent a card to them, I know she would LOVE to get it and it is not too late!
Thank you Cindy for our Destination Stations, I just love stamping and love being able to send them to someone who needs cheering up!
Thank you Traci for sharing your mom and dads story with us. God be with them and help your dad to soon recover, so they can go back home and no longer need the care facility.
This tea party was very heartwarming for me and I have a new friend, named Joyce!

What a wonderful story, Celisa! So you now have a new friend named Joyce. I'll have to research Traci's story since I dont follow the TP challenges any more due to work. How wonderful that you stopped at a florist and even thought about bringing peppermints for after dinner. Yes, you were there for a reason. God works in mysterious yet wondrous ways, and you were just a part of His plan today. You did good, girl.

How lovely that you were able to go and be a tea-party representative in real life and make a new friend.
Zebra paper - what a great idea for the theme this week. I never thought of it and I know I have some. Well, I know DH has some .

Celisa! You made me cry! I am so touched by this! You are one amazing person! I knew you were in Grand Junction but this ole brain of mine just didn't make the connection! I am so tickled and now Traci can have lunch with you when she goes down to visit her parents! (on me!)
I am so very very touched that you are so kind! And it not just been at this teaparty, that you have done special things! Don't think I don't know about all the *extras* you do!
The card is awesome, your thoughtfulness is out of this world and I KNOW Traci is touched beyond imagination! This is an amazing *story*! I love it!
Hugs to you......

Celisa, I just knew from all the kind comments and gestures you have made and knowing where you live that you would probably contact the Cottons. You have certainly brightened Joyce and Traci's day and now all the tea partiers as well. Thank you!

Celisa, give me that tissue box! Bless your heart! Your kindness is overwhelming. I love how this "Teapot Thing" has united passion for art with a love for people! Your card, and your time has given a higher purpose to the craft. I know you will love Traci, and I know she will love you for the kindness you are sharing. Roy and Joyce will never forget how you have helped make this difficult time a little easier by weaving yourself, and your heart into their story and showing God's love. I could just hug you!!!! LYMI
Pssst...Beautiful card too!
